Points based combat system | help

Hey there,

I have an idea how to implement combat in my game, its a learning experience for myself, most things I have managed so far but this part I can not figure out.

I want this combat system to work that it will calculate a point from different stats and compares it to the enemy and who ever had the highest point wins.

For example:

Player 1:

1000 infantry man

200 vehicles

25 airplanes

At a total of 1225 devided by 100 = 12,25

12,25 is your score and it will be compared against an enemy who has a score of 13 this means that the enemy would win in this example.

I want this to be like a simulation that takes a period of time, like 1 year in game time.

Is anyone able to help me with a script like this that I could use or explain how I can come to this end result?
