.skp to .3ds
Does anyone have a free service, preferably an online one, that would allow me to convert .skp files, which are not supported by Unity, to .3ds files. I know about Babel3d, but I don't want to give my credit card number away to "free" services.

Tried it using the portable version. It does not recognize the .skp file format.

I can't support directly the Google SketchUp .skp file format in my program, because it is a totally unpublished ones.
I did find a way how to convert the .skp files to other format(s):
Please install the Kertythea export plugin under Google Sketchup http://www.i3dconverter.com/external_programs/su2kt2_21.zip
Open your .skp file with Google Sketchup.
Export your object using the Plugins/Kertythea Exporter/Export model menuitem
Open the exported .xml file with 3D Object Converter
Export your object to other format you would like to use
