Walker Boys Mario Clone Issue

I've been using the Walker Boys Mario 3D clone tutorial as a basis for my own game but I've run into an issue that is troubling me. To the best of my knowledge my code is exactly as they have it, I've checked it 3 times to be sure!!

What is happening is that when my player gets hit by an enemy he looses his jumping ability, he can jump from "crouch" and I think his "jump from object" works as he seems to jump if he running ove uneven terrain and you keep hitting the jump button.

But just hitting the jump button seems to no longer work after he's been hit by an enemy?!?

Has anyone else come accross this? And if so how was it fixed?

HELP!!

I managed to solve this by commenting out the last part of the jump_1 function that refered to enemy collider as I noticed it was setting my jumps to false.
