How to make AutoType-style text game speed independent?
I have a text box script in my game that does essentially what's shown on the AutoType page on the Unity wiki. But my text needs to type out very quickly (around 0.02 seconds between characters) and currently the speed of the text is noticeably faster or slower depending on the device the game is running on. If I the game at different resolutions on the same device, the text will type out very slowly on high graphics settings and very slowly on low.
Is there a way I can make the speed the text types out independent of the speed the game is running at? I've tried scaling by deltaTime or fixedDeltaTime like I'd do with any given gameplay script, but I think that starts to break down with such short wait times between characters.
