Noob Question: Stretched Textures
I just made a model in 3dsmax, then put some random diffuse colors on it to map and imported it in Unity. But when I apply a tile texture to my floor material for example, it becomes very stretched.
Is there anyway to fix this?
- Or you need to UV map whole thing? Last time I UV mapped was a character long time ago in the first Quake game and I colored it very ugly in photoshop. I don't understand how I can make my floor a perfect tiled that way.
Or maybe Unity regognize the UV map and make it easy so I can just apply tile materials to a specific part of the.. map?
Sorry for many questions, just wanna know before I do something more. :P
Edit: I just want to clear out that I also want e.g. a normalmap on floor and stuff.
