Question by z3nth10n · Dec 07, 2013 at 06:18 PM · saveproceduralgenerationworld

Which is the best option (Procedurally world generation save)

Hi,

well I had a question, I created a procedurally world using a seed, it's recommended to save the created world in a texture? Or that doesn't matter, because the world will generate like before...

I don't know what is the best answer, so... What's your opinion?

PD: The player cannot edit the terrain.

Thanks in advance. Bye.

Will the player make changes that you want to persist?

Nope... I forget to say that... the terrain is a mesh procedurally generated...

You can just save the seed. If the seed always results in the same world then there's no reason to save anything else.
