I need help understanding parents

So I've been trying to learn about parents and I think I'm misunderstanding them. Basically what I'ev been trying to accomplish is objects that are tied to another one so that when I delete the main one all the linked ones do too.

Maybe this is Parents and Children's use but I can't seem to figure it out. I've got 3 objects all with different tags and one has Needle and I want to delete it while also deleting "Good" and "Great".

I hope all that made sense and if not I apologize and I'll try to further explain per request.
