Question stuck in "The question is waiting approval by a moderator." ?
I asked a question ~ 6 hours ago and it still says "The question is waiting approval by a moderator.".
Did the question get denied?
I have read the FAQ, read Graham Dunnet's post about "approval process changes", checked google and other sources to try and find a solution. As far as I know I wrote the question correctly and described it as best I could.
I do not want to post it again in case of trouble from a double post.
Edit: Got approved 18mins ago. Please ignore/Thanks you whoever approved it!
Since you two are here (thanks by the way robertbu) if my question goes unanswered for a day or two (to the point no one will see it unless they search for it). Can I attempt to re-ask it at a better time? Or is that question better suited for the forums?
Oh, I didn't realize bumping was a thing. Good to know.
@robertbu I suppose we could tag this question meta if we want to start another discussion about it? A few people might read it before posting. You must have found the question at the same time I was looking at it.
@douglasg14b You may have noticed there is a lot of chaff on here. Plenty of duplicate questions, plenty of questions that are easily solvable, and plenty of bad questions. It does mean that occasionally good questions get buried. It also makes it somewhat difficult to search for good answers, especially if the first 10 questions on the search page are closed as duplicate questions without links. I do go through and delete poor questions from time to time. But its currently at a slower rate then they are added.
Based on all of that I don't $$anonymous$$d if people bump there questions every day or so. We have some very skilled users that don't log in very frequently. Best way to bump is by editing the question, or adding a comment (preferably with details about what you have discovered on your own while you were waiting). Posting a comment saying bump tends to get some people's backs up.
Re asking the same question is not allowed. Frequent bumping is not allowed.
Answering your own questions is encouraged. Answering or commenting on other peoples questions is encouraged. It only takes one right answer to get you off the mod queue.
As to the forums not all users hang out in both areas. So its better to discuss answers policy here.
@Bored$$anonymous$$ormon I generally get annoyed when a questions comment section is literally just comments saying "bump", or if someone bumps within 48 $$anonymous$$utes of posting the question (yes, that happened just today).
@douglasg14b it's nice to see people like you actually doing their research and asking proper questions. Just a note, ins$$anonymous$$d of editing the question saying that it's solved, it's much better to close it (if it's still useful), or just plain delete it.
@Benproductions1 why delete it if there's an answer if it's a relevant question? Why not mark it as answered ins$$anonymous$$d?

In the latest iteration of UA it appears that rejected questions still show the "Waiting in moderation" message.
