Can't freeze object position due to animation
Hello everybody!
I have an FBX with animated cubes. The animator is on the parent (this is how it was exported) and I cannot change that.
I need to freeze my cube (the child object) on collisionEnter and I tried several things:
Rigidbody constraints
Disable root motion
Set transform of the cube child object to another parent without the animator controller.
How ever I can't seem to break the animation bond on the cube
My plan assumed that by placing the cube under another parent, will break the bonds of the animation.
I have another Idea: create a duplicate model and enable it on collision so it looks as if the object froze.
I'm going to try that and mean while would really like to hear your input!
EDIT: Another approach can be changing local position maybe, because the animation changes the world transform.position and rotation?
