Script Not workin

I have a pause menuscript and i get this error PAUSE MENU.js(8,1): BCE0044: expecting }, found 'private'. Here's the script

from what i see you may have put function start in twice; it is missing the bracket to end the first function start so it goes to the first thing it finds.

meaning that it cannot continue to run the script unless it finishes the first function start. so to fix it just add a } in line #9, if it still does not work try to combine the two function starts
