What to do when an asset developer drops off the face of the internet (Reign studios)
Hello,
I started using the all in one native Reign plugin last week because it advertised easy iap and it actually performed unlike another plugin which advertised the same but only worked on 5.x(4.6 is supported but doesnt work(i've tested it))
Problem now is that the google play manifests conflict with Reign's custom one so I decided to just use Reign's built in google play HOWEVER the code is borked. I narrowed it down to two places but even after "fixing them"(commenting them out and hoping nothing breaks), it doesnt work and today I found out that their website is down and emailing them results in an error saying that the email address cant be reached(because it's a @reign address).
By the by before you say "Use 5.x for better compatibility with this stuff", NO. 5.x has a ui problem where the fps drops to 30 when there's even one panel on screen(and it isnt my phone).
TLDR Reign is down, I cant fix conflicts between manifests, help!
There is nothing you can do unless you can contact the people who created the content. I know this is not what you want to hear, but any time you buy from the asset store, you run the risk that the dev will stop supporting the product and it will fall behind the unity updates. This is somthing that unity has addressed in their terms that you agree to when using the asset store, so there is no real way you can fight back. Your only options right now are; find a way to contact the dev and beg them to fix it, buy a new system, make your own system or continue trying to fix the broken system. I know it sucks, but such is the life of a programmer...
Yeah I contacted the guy on github, just waiting for a reply now :)
