Download FBX or OBJ at runtime
How can I download an FBX or OBJ at runtime from a server? I know there are plugins that do it, but I would like to do it myself. I understand that it is something complex, but it would help me with an expression or function that can put me on the right path.
That really is a bit broad of a question. Downloading can be done in many ways. Some more easy, some more difficult. It all depends on where your data lies and what kind of access the server allows. I can tell you to use ftp but unless your server provides this you cannot use it.
So please add some more details on which protocol you want to use and perhaps people can point you in some direction.
