Crash while loading application
While painting textures onto a terrain I was working on I managed to accidentally click and drag something in the project window onto another item, Unity gave me the pin-wheel and crashed, now whenever I try to open Unity the icon bounces twice in the dock and then crashes, is there anyway I can back into the software?
Are you getting a crash log from Unity? If so, can you post the crash log, and the log output in ~/Library/Logs/Unity/Editor.log here as attachments? That might help us find out what is going on, and maybe lets us find a way to get you working on your project again.

You can try to rename your project (like "_Project") so unity is unable to find it, so it will show "unity - project wizard" window.
i still can't open the project i was working on at all, after rena$$anonymous$$g the folder my terrain disappeared as well and all i was left with was water.
looks like i'm going to have to start again!
Note that an easier way to force the Project Wizard to appear is to start Unity, but immediatedly keep the Alt key pressed while the splash screen is showing. That's Windoze, not sure whether that's cmd or meta or something else on $$anonymous$$ac.

You can show the Project wizzard window by holding the Option key (alt) while starting Unity.
