I have the same error, I installed Unity 2017.1 and configured Android. I have a simple project, but when I build for android I get this error: "UnityEditor.BuildPlayerWindow+Build$$anonymous$$ethodException: Build failed with errors."

I had the same issue. I closed the complier (VS 2017) and then when I wanted to build the project, I changed the folder.

As you have noticed after you click build settings you are prompt to download it in the asset, which unity wouldn't allow to build exe files inside asset. in that case, try building it in a different folder or in desktop. It works fine for me! :D

Hi, I haven't resolve the issue yet. Did you say to change the folder when you click on "build" button and choose the folder where you have to save the apk file? Because I've tried to do this and it doesn't work. Can you explain to me if i'm doing something wrong?

hi, using the nvda and jaws screen reader, and doing this for a school project. did try changing the folder, to the desktop, and got the same error. did fix one error in visual studio, deleted a strange character start of the public method. now only got this gui 32 and 64 bit error. how to fix in visual studio. as unity is not that accessible. my trainer is back on january 7.so have to wait for that. did try googling, never seen that gui process pr 32 and 64 bit, how to fix, unless i find the file, click to load in unity, or a more accessible way to do this in visual studio. frustrated. windows 10 64 bit pro ..1809, jaws 2019, nvda 2018.4 latest stable version using unity 2018.7.2, maybe try updating unity and see if that works, then reload the project. frustrated. any one able to help me out, and how to fix this.

Try using the build option ( not build & run ) - ( it worked for me )

Got same problem. This is how I solved it: 1.In "tools" directory of android SDK open a file named 'android' and in the list choose all 25-versions - install those packages (Note: this file didn't want to open while my SDK was installed in C-System, so I was supposed to copy whole SDK in another one and it finaly launched ); 2. Install JDK-8, not 9! Even if you have 9-version, download 8 and in Unity in Edit->Preferenses change jdk path to 8-version. After this two steps I finaly resolved my problem. Good luck, hope it will help someone :)
