Unity exe illegal instruction.
Hey guys,
I have no problems running unity exe's on My gaming desktop or a old laptop I use for programming. But the other day I decided to build up a old pc to use as a test server for my game. Whenever I run any unity exe on there I get this windows popup error...
game_server.exe Application Error.
The exception Illegal Instruction.
An attempt was made to execute an illegal instruction.
(0xc000001d) occurred in the application at location 0x00b22cd0
Click ok to terminate the program.
Any Ideas on what is causing this
[Edit] Just installed the unity editor and this gives the same error when starting. This is on Windows 7 32bit.
[Edit 2] I tried changing to a different graphics card and also using its integrated graphics but neither fixed it.
Some system specs KM400-8237 Motherboard, AMD Semperon 2400+ (1.75 ghz), 2GB DDR memory (175 mhz), 80GB ATA HDD, ATI Radeon 9600 series graphics card (256 mb).
Thanks - Matt
Ok I have reinstalled the PC with a full Windows 7 version (Previous one was stripped down for server use). Now I don't get any errors but the unity editor or and unity created exe's still won't open. When they are run they appear in task manager for about 3-5 seconds then disappear/quit.
$$anonymous$$an this is frustrating.
I have noticed a program called WerFault.exe also runs just before unity exits. The task managers description for that program is "Windows Problem Reporting" but no error/problem pops up.
