Waypoint Marker

I'm trying to make waypoint marker system according some tutorials e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBkfujKPZw8
Unfortunately this solution doesn't work using screen space - camera. Is there any other way to achive it with screen space - camera?
