Editor layout couldn't be loaded? Even on new project.
The editor layout could not be fully loaded, this can happen when the layout contains EditorWindows not available in this project UnityEditor.WindowLayout:LoadDefaultWindowPreferences() (at /Users/bokken/buildslave/unity/build/Editor/Mono/GUI/WindowLayout.cs:40)
I am getting the above error and I couldn't find any solution. This issue persists even when I create a completely new project.
The funny thing is bokken is not my userspace.
Any solution for this? I am not able to move the game object on the scene view because of this error. This is the most obvious error, but it might be affecting something else too.
I get the same error (including the path with /Users/bokken), very annoying. But for me it's just an informational message; nothing that would block me from interacting with the scene view.
Yes, happens to me a lot, new projects, updating old projects, etc.
Sometimes it's solved by closing the project and reopening it. If that doesn't work, I close the project, then completely delete the Library folder, then re-open, it it will re-build the library. Usually that takes care of it.
VERY frustrating.
This error is killing me!!! I have this all the time. The last time I clicked something wrong in the appearing popup window and my complete project was reset and files lost.
There's an issue for that, I've voted for it, and I think it was recently closed, so perhaps one of the latest releases has a fix.
I know I saw something in the release notes.
Perhaps a complete reinstall?
I'm facing exactly the same issue, Unity 2019.4.13f1
If it's even on a new project, do a complete re-install. $$anonymous$$ake sure there's enough disk space -- sometimes Unity will do an incomplete install.
There's probably somewhere that "preferences" is saved, perhaps that's corrupt.
Good time to update to the latest point version is how I try to convince myself that it's okay (when really it's very frustrating).

I'm getting this "error" in the Unity 2019.4.13f1 version and even in the Unity 2019.4.17f1 and got also errors while loading the project, beacuse all Layouts were losts. Hope they'll fix soon
