I have a suspicion that I can invoke that infamous 'nega-answers' bug. Let's try it out! I'm going to post a whole bunch of comments, convert them to answers, and then delete them.
And there you go- -5 answers. I'll delete this if an ad$$anonymous$$ asks me to, but until then I think it serves as a decent example of a repeatable bug in the system, so it'll stay.

Yep! Although they seem to have fixed the exact issue I was reporting here. That post is referring to a different, similar bug.
Can you let me know what problem this causes for you? I agree that this is a bug, but I've yet to encounter it as a blocker for using the site, and so haven't put any effort into getting this resolved.
It's honestly not a big deal. The only real problem it causes, is that sometimes posts which have been answered are marked as '0 answers' on the front page, which is more annoying than inconvenient.
At the moment I simply cannot post comments (i mean messages, when you send a message to the poster) on the moderation page
So, typically you reject an item, and then send the poster a comment explaining why it was rejected
Currently that button does nothing, you can't send a message to the poster
