Qato lost answers?
I recall a rather involved posting from some months back, and when I went to find it today, the question and an answer was there, but further postings, including pictures and the real answer, were gone. Is there a backup anywhere?
Weird, I'm seeing this too. Where has this one gone, for example:
http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/139145/randomizing-an-array.html
It's still in Google's cache was the only reason I could "find" it.
This was very distressing this morning as I was telling a coworker how to fix something I recall documented here (somewhere). Thanks Google!

So, it looks like the question that Warwick linked has been deleted by it's author or someone else with delete privilege. This was a problem before and we will recommend that Unity disallow users from doing that action. This is also the case with the answers in general that disappear.
Additionally, it looks like the changes made to require some reputation to do actions also applied to super users, so we will need Unity to straighten that out too :)
ack!! missed another interesting thread when it was hot...
Can you tell whether the question-deletion is related to the weird tag-count-aberration? Because my test with deleting one of my own questions did not result in a misscounted/undead tag (see bug-report for more detail)
(just realized that 'qato' is particularly affected. supposedly it has 48 questions, actually it only has 18...)
I have to admit I'm not too thrilled about the thought that the delete-option would be removed. From what I can tell, it's rather under- than overused... =/ but I have to admit that it's probably the smaller evil if people are ruthless enough to delete questions like this! o.o
Then again... if a question was good enough to remain... someone would realize it's gone. Can questions be restored by superusers? If noone misses it... it's probably not thaaat bad that it's gone...
Or... much better stil: how about forbidding deletion dependent on vote-amount? (but it would probably have to be decided by total vote of question+answers. Not that an OP deletes an exellent answer because his question was down-voted =/ )
Greetz, $$anonymous$$y.
That one is not deleted, but it has disappeared from the $$anonymous$$ost Voted Questions list.
Are you sure it's not deleted? How can you tell? I'm guessing it has disappeared from the list because it is deleted....?
I think so, because my own question I deleted, too, is still accessible since I still had a direct link lying around.... I'm guessing 'deletion' only means that a question is taken out of all referencing lists, not actually removing all data from the archives...?
