Can someone please label the Search box? [Yay! thanks]
To whom is running this qato-driven site: can we please get a label on the Search box? I know it goes without saying, to those familiar with it, but seems like new folks don't realize you can search this site before (re)asking a question. Thanks.
Appears to be done.
I'd just shoot a mail to support@qato.com, they're very nice and helpful guys, and I'm sure they'd either do it immediately or explain you why not. ;)
Can you make the "Search" text use size=7, color it red, and make it blink? Because even when it's labeled, it's still not used enough. ;)
Grouping them all together as Tornado Twin orphans, (while amusing) is not productive. Some will improve and one day help others, some wont. We need to be firm with the rules they will either learn or leave. If a question is poorly worded we should stop going the extra mile to decifer it. Put a comment on the question instructing them to improve their question. They will either improve or stop posting, both are postive outcomes.
Just for the record, user ad$$anonymous$$ is a real ad$$anonymous$$, and is the CTO at dZone. I suspect some of the questions he has apparently "asked" are orphan questions following the migration. ad$$anonymous$$ has only been and ad$$anonymous$$ on this site since the migration back in $$anonymous$$ay '11.
I'm using Unity in a class for a summer course (thumbs up to now having a 1 year student license available). I've asked about five questions and while I've used Google to search through unity answers, I had no idea the site had a built in search bar. I never thought to look at the very top near my user info. It wasn't on the right near the navigation stuff and ctrl + f yielded no 'search' string on the page.
Basically, as a new user, I had no idea it was there and support it being labeled.
