I discovered my own solution! The parent object was being rendered at z=-300. and the Child was being drawn at z=0 from THERE! Check your parents!
instantiated two characters, but they only appear in scene mode.
I instantiated two characters with code, but they are not appearing in game mode, as shown below:
They do appear in my scene view. I am pretty sure it is a camera setting problem, because of the preview on the following picture, but I am not fining any helpful advice online:
The two characters are being brought in with their drawn in order at 1. The two "battle mats" where they are supposed to appear are at -10, so I know the characters are not hidden behind them or anything.
Finally, I have no layers yet. Everything is currently on the Default layer. This is the last piece of advice I could find on google or here. Anyone with similar problems online seemed to be fixed after checking these things.
I am a new designer, so I am certain it is something easy, but any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance!
I think its your camera it is also at -10 the same as the battle mats and behind your characters. Change camera z to say 5 to test.
