Unity 4.6 Mobile Joystick Not Responding to Touch Events

When I try to move the joystick when testing my app on my computer, it works super smooth. However when I run my app on my Nexus 5 the majority of my touches on the joystick do not register. This is not ok for my game, 75% of the time the joystick doesn't work.

Buttons, by the way, always work when I touch them. This problem only goes for the joystick when running on my Nexus 5.

Anyone else having these problems? Any fixes?

EDIT: I am also having this same problem on other phones.
