One-Time Particle Effect On Clicking a Specific GameObject
Hello, I'm fairly new to codding and been trying to implement a system to my game. Player ship(2d sprite) is cruising in the ocean(image game object), following the mouse point when I click. So far so good.
But I want to make a splash particle when I click on specific game objects, like the ocean image. There are islands, UI elements around the screen so I don't want the particle to play when I click on them, only the sea.
This is the exact same thing when you click on the sandy side of the game board on Hearthstone, it creates a small dust particle for 1 second.
Been looking for some useful topic but couldn't find anything, can anyone help me?
Please if you have reference in $$anonymous$$d, please provide the YouTube link in your question, preferably use the "copy video URL at current time" by right-clicking the video time bar. There are so many people trying so hard to describe the image with loads of words, but very few would actually get a remotely similar picture as yours.
