how to create a c# script for light switch using steam vr?

I'm a beginner in unity3d game development. I am interested in VR games and decided to make a simple room testing for HTC VIVE.

I want to create a light switch with on and off button. If you touch the ON button, the point light turns on. If you touched the OFF button, the point light turns off.

it seems easier on PC but for HTC Vive, I have no idea.

Does anyone have any ideas?
