Question by Stphanie · Mar 08, 2011 at 04:15 AM · androiddevelopmentaddon

What is needed to develop on Android?

Do I need to buy an Android add-on or anything other than [Unity Pro] + [iOS Pro] to develop on Android?

Thanks!

Yes, Unity Android is a different platform than iOS, and therefore is a separate license.

Wow thanks for your fast answer Eric! So in other words, that means I absolutely need the whole Unity Android license to develop a game on Android, right?

@Stphanie: Not quite sure what you mean by "the whole license"; like iOS, there are indie and pro licenses, for the same prices.

@Eric: Sorry for having been unclear! I now have Unity Pro and iOS Pro, but want to know whether I need to buy anything else such as the Android add-on, to release an app on Android. If so, what do I need? THAN$$anonymous$$S SO $$anonymous$$UCH!

Well, as I said, you need to buy the Unity Android license.
