Detonator and it's volume threshold

I have a flying game where you shoot missiles. They explode on impact, using Detonator. I need the explosion sound to be loud, but I can't seem to do it. The missiles will be spawned, and far away, and so far using min/max volume has made no difference. People have suggested moving the audio source, but I don't know how to do that using Detonator.
