Player follow when Player comes near to end of camera

Hey guys, I want that when my player comes near to the border of the camera the camera starts following. When the player stops and goes backwards, the camera doesn't follow until the border of the camera. It's a 3D game, so it has to go in all directions. Hope someone has a solution for this.
