2d Sprite, 3d world
I have a 2d sprite in a 3d environment. For example, he's standing on a plane and I want him to move around kinda like Paper Mario. Unfortunately, I can only get him to move around if a box collider 2d is under him, which limits him to going back and forth and not in all axis. Should I use a different method for the sprite? Like maybe slap the sprite animation on a 3d plane or something and move him about that way? Any advice, tips or other answers similar to what I'm asking are appreciated!
I am not really a pro, but if you want to set your game in a 3D environment with perspective like Paper $$anonymous$$ario, I would recommand you to use 3d colliders only, even for your 2D sprite.
I'm not sure if it's the most optimal way of doing things but it worked, so that's good enough for me at this point. Thanks for that. I didn't think you could add 3d colliders and rigidbodies to 2d sprites. Now I know. Thanks :)
