Texture Atlas for One Mesh
Hi,
I have one book mesh and I want the create 30 variation of these books (Color,name,cover).
In UE4 Material instance
can solves this problem. (UV offset for each mesh) What is the best solution in Unity?
UE4 and Unity share most features but under very different names and concepts, in this case:
(UE4) Material
= shader
(Unity)
(UE4) Material instance
= Material
(Unity)
Only if default shader wont meet your needs.
Create a material asset first with a default shader and fill it's texture and color settings.
Duplicate this asset few times - those will be your variants ("Material instances"), change them as you wish
Select your mesh in scene Hierarchy, Mesh Render component will have "Materials" property - change the very first element there to any variant you want to preview the results.
