MovieTexture Lag please help

Hi. I am trying to use movie textures on unity 5.5. The problem I'm currently facing is that the video is both experiencing lag and causing lag in the game. Can anyone give me any ideas on what I might be doing wrong or what I can do to improve performance?

Is there maybe a preferred codec or anything to use for importing? I've tried playing with the quality slider in the inspector but it freezes unity when I do.

Please help. Thanks in advance.
