AndroidManifest.xml and Google Play OBB Downloader plugin

Quick question (I hope):

The GooglePlayDownloader plugin comes with an AndroidManifest.xml file. In it, the activity called "UnityPlayerProxyActivity" has an action parameter set to MAIN and category set to LAUNCHER.

I'm wondering, does this activity need to be the main (sometimes referred to as the current) activity, or was it just set to that because it happened to be the first activity listed in the manifest?

I ask because another plugin I have (the Mobile Social Plugin) also came with an AndroidManifest.xml and it sets "AndroidNativeBridge" as the main/launcher activity. I've found that if I don't use this as the main activity, the plugin won't interface with Twitter/Facebook/etc.

If the GooglePlayDownloader doesn't need to be the main activity, great, I can just remove those tags and be done.

If it does...then I guess I need to do some research into getting the two plugins to play nice.

After testing variations of my game on the Google Play Store (as an Alpha build), I can confirm you don't need to "UnityPlayerProxyActivity" to be set as the main/launcher activity within your AndroidManifest.xml file.

Hi, did you manage to solve the issue by simply removing the "main/launcher" from the "UnityPlayerProxyActivity"?

I need to merge the same exact plugins, and when ever I call "FetchOBB" I get ActivityNotFound exception.

From logcat, the problem is with this line at the OBBDownloader: AndroidJavaObject intent = new AndroidJavaObject("android.content.Intent", current_activity, new AndroidJavaClass("com.unity3d.plugin.downloader.UnityDownloaderActivity"));

Any help will be appriciated !

Yeah, I removed the block with main/launcher from the "UnityPlayerProxyActivity" section.

The main/launcher action/category are ins$$anonymous$$d placed within the "com.androidnative.AndroidNativeBridge" section.

Hope that helps!
