Where can I place a flag/bool to suspend the entire game loop in Unity?
Hi again folks. I'm new to unity and really loving it. But there is a few things which are different to how i've learned with traditional game frameworks.
Like I can't really tell what is the earliest point of access I have and what is triggering the actual update() method of the game etc.
Basically, I'm trying to pause the game when you go into the inventory screen, the tutorial im following only has a player and no AI and he just disables the Player and Input until the menu closes.
I'm used to being able to but a bool right at the first main class of the program and just suspending from there. If I wanted to pause everything, ie. Physics calcs, AI behaviour etc all at once is there a way in unity?
I'm hoping its something as simple as putting a script on my MainScene and just suspending (or disabling) it temporarily until the menu is closed. But I darent start messing with adding scripts as I fear getting mixed up and losing my progress with my current project of which I'm really happy with so far.
Any help hugely appreciated as always. And thanks for reading my ramblings!!!
I look forward to reading your answers :)
