SI there another way to analyse the spectrum data of an audio input - GetSpectrumData() is deprecated
Hi all, thanks for reading my question...
I'm about to embark on a building exercise to analyse some audio for a project...
I wanted to ask if anybody knew what Unity actually wants us to use for this as their in-built methods are deprecated/ obsolete according to their docs... Just didn't wanna reinvent the wheel or would be really grateful to hear of any experiences with 3rd party options out there if any or directing towards lower level areas to capture audio data. Having a bit of difficulty finding anything solid on potential changes made, just plenty of red text on those audio pages.
I know FMOD was underlying API for audio a while back , don't think that's changed, but maybe it has?!? Has anyone else built a funky plugin to analyse audio that doesn't use .GetSpectrumData() and .GetOutputData()? I see that there is a UnityEngine.AudioModule but that seems more about controlling the playback and implementing audio effects. I should note, I have done this type of things before but in the old [deprecated] manner, I just wanted to update to the new way of doing it if there was one established.
Anyway. Thanks again for reading :)
