Proper way to separate UI/Management element from a gameplay element?
Looking for some input on the best practice to achieve a performant and usable separation of a management view based on ui elements, then a game play element based on graphical elements.
Real life non-unity examples might be football manager, out of the park baseball, or maybe an xcom type game. All examples where you manipulate data via an ui, and then take some of that data to use in a game play system.
It feels from the tutorials and the materials that Unity is meant to be used in a many-levels-used-one-at-a-time approach, so while i have some ideas on implementation, i'd love to hear your thoughts on the proper way to, again, do this without sacrificing performance or usability.
