How to blur tilemap

Hi,

is there any way I can blur a tilemap? I have some tilemaps for the background of a platformer and I want to make them nice and blurry. Do I need to write a shader? If so, how do I do so?

you see, I want to blur the tilemap gameobject itself, and not the texture.
