How to cast shadow onto real world object in hololens

I am able cast shadows of my holograms onto other objects such as a plane. I was wandering if someone can help me with how I could make the shadow fall on real world objects through my hololens screen.

Can't really give you any specific solution, though it sounds like something where you might want to use image recognition and try to make a "dynamic" mesh based on it, which you can cast the shadow onto.. ^^"
