How do I report a company for illegal use of Unity software?

I recently left a company that was involved in some very nefarious activity. One of which was the use of Unity3D to make gambling/casino games without paying for the proper licensing. They were also having the employees download the software to their personal computers as individuals and use it for the company.

I would just send Unity an email by going to the contact page on their website. Think twice though about your decision to report this, it is the right thing to do but it might have some consequences you didn't expect, I think it's a very delicate matter.

Could you please explain to me why I should re-consider reporting a company that is violating the law. It sounds like you are advising me to allow cri$$anonymous$$al activity to persist. A person who allows cri$$anonymous$$al violations to occur is called an accomplice. Choosing to do nothing is a cri$$anonymous$$al act in itself. Can you give me a good reason why I should engage in this philosophy?

Reporting them is the right thing to do, I'm just telling you to watch out, which is a good advise at all times.
