Unity keeps freezing in play mode

When I go into play mode the editor completely freezes and becomes completely unresponsive. The crash manager never activates and the window won't close or react to anything until I close it with task manager. I've looked a lot of other forums and none of the normal issues for this are present. There is no looping in any scripts, there is adequate memory available, and it does not happen in any other project of mine, as well as other members with Unity Colab not being affected by it as well. I've tried deleting and re-dowloading the project from Colab and it does not make a difference. It happens in every scene of the game at seemingly random times, sometimes seconds after going into play mode, sometimes minutes after. I can't get a Unity bug report since the bug report window does not pop up after force closing it. I've gone back to previous builds and the issue doesn't go away still. I'm using Unity 2020.1.6f1.
