How to get rid of "Low resolution aspect ratios"

I had been having trouble with pixilated graphics in game mode and in the game window. The problem was the zoom in game mode was stuck at 1.25. Now I've found the answer is this checkbox is always checked by default: "low resolution aspect ratios". You can turn it off, after several hours of frustration trying to find the problem of course. Is there any way to stop this being the default?alt text

What "Low Resolution Aspect Ratios" actually do? What's its purpose?

This "feature" is sure as hell a PITA in its current state, I can't use the Game windows on my second monitor without it reverting back to On. Even just popping it out of the main window into the main monitor enables it back, set to 1.25x...

Sorry that my post doesn't tell you how to fix it, but reviving this question might help the Unity team see that's it's an annoying issue.

Hello Developers! After checking where the error was coming from I found that it normally comes from Canvas Scaler from the Canvas. This will not get rid of the "Low Resolution Aspect Ratios" but this is a Potential Fix. So when you set your Canvas Scaler to Scale with Screen Size it will check the box for the low resolution. If you look further down there is a Vector2 named Reference Resolution. The defaults are 800px by 600px, changing it to 1920px by 1080px will fix the issue. Hope this helps! :-)

Solution: In Canvas -> Canvas Scaler -> Refrence Resolution -> X: 1920px Y: 1080px
