How can I convert a tap gesture for my HoloLens App to a mouse click for my Desktop App?

I have made a HoloLens app that uses gestureRecognizer for various functions. I have made an .exe file for the same by commenting out all the scripts. It seems that the gestureRecognizer is causing issues. How do I ensure that the app behaves in the same way on the desktop as it does on the HoloLens? I mean, how do I ensure that the mouse click on the desktop app behaves in the same way as the tap gesture on the HoloLens app?
