Turning game object animation into an animated 3d gif?

Hello,

I am an iOS developer that is building a game and was wondering if it is possible to turn an animation into a animated gif. Ideally I would like an animated object on a transparent background. If it is at all possible, how would I go about doing such a thing? Are there any other alternatives for doing such things? If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it.

i assume u r talking about 2d games. ideally u should use mecanim for animations but yes animation can be converted into gif just use photoshop or flash. both works.
