ParticleSystem TriggerModule: Collide with world / collide with unlimited colliders?

Hey there,

I'm using the Trigger module of the Particle System to simulate 'drips' of a liquid colliding with and then passing through solids. I realised too late into my work that the Trigger module has a very limited amount of colliders that you can add, so even when I dynamically add the nearest colliders when I need them, I can't go over about half a dozen, leading to a lot of colliders being missed in some cases.

Is there any way at all for Particle Trigger collisions to occur on world collisions, or on a larger amount of colliders?

If not, is there any alternative with particles to get the effect I'm after? I can't use the Collision module as I need the particles to pass through solid colliders while also getting 'onCollisionStay' or equivalent callbacks so I know where in the collider they are.
