Question by user-4095 (yahoo) · Oct 18, 2010 at 10:29 AM · graphicsrenderfogfragmentprogram

Fog doesnt work anymore

i got an old video card but in unity 2.6.1(30 days pro) was working and in unity 3.0.0f5(30 days pro) is not anymore because everithing its fine in the render settings and quality settings tab and still not working:((

in unity 2 i had SM 1.4 In the Graphics Emulation Tab and in unity 3 i have SM 1

im think that unity is not using all my video cards pixel shader/vertex/fragment program or idl what fog uses

it may sound stupid but someone help me please because idk how to make it work

Thanks in advance

fog does not require pixel shaders.

perhaps you are using an orthographic camera, that would explain it as various things are disabled with orthographic cameras

I think it's a memory problem, is it running low on memory? Maybe will fog appear after publishing. Did you try to compile the game?

In my case, fog is working fine when I insert a graphic card having 1Mb memory, my 256k card is not showing fog so I think it's a memory problem. Did you try to compile the game? Maybe editor is running low on memory. Hope it helps
