URP - Play mode has different behavior than finished app build

Hello! I encountered some weird URP behavior where the ARkit game I am building has different behavior when in play mode on my phone, and when I fully build the app on my phone. In play mode the camera works fine, but when I try to build the app, I just get full screen colors.

I followed youtube tutorial specifically for URP and ARkit, but I haven't been able to get even the example projects to work yet for two days. I am sure this is just some URP setting I have to flip, but I just don't know what it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
