World Space UI not displaying on Render Texture

I have a render texture which just displays an area in the scene that has some ui. In edit mode, everything shows up properly but in the build, none of the ui elements are displayed in the render texture.

From what I've read, it seems to be a bug without a fix, but all the posts I read were from a few years ago, so I'm wondering if there is a fix for this now or not?
