IAP persistence between game sessions

I am new to using IAP so I followed the following video to implement a non-consumable remove ads IAP button https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPh6RJ3pS74

My question is how can I actually disable unity ads after purchase? And how can I save that the player has purchased said IAP to continue disabling ads between game sessions? Does it automatically retrieve purchases every time the game sessions?

I also viewed this documentation about restoring purchases between game installs https://docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.unity.purchasing@4.0/manual/UnityIAPRestoringTransactions.html but I can't figure out how exactly to implement this in my game any help with that in the right direction would be appreciated
