Did you read the documentation? http://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/CacheServer.html

Installing the Cache Server as a service

The provided .sh and .cmd scripts should be set-up as a service on the server. The cache server can be safely killed and restarted at any time, since it uses atomic file operations.

So you have set the Cache server as a windows service but it will not start? Sounds like an issue with the server set up, are there any error messages or log files?

Try with this solution:

  1. Open services.msc. You will see a list with all the services installed on your computer.

  2. Find your new installed service.

  3. Click right button and select "properties".

  4. On "Log in" tab select other account with full permissions. Don't use local system account.

It should work.

Regards,

Joaquín
