Multiple hinge joints on single object
Hello all. First post. I have been working through examples and tutorials and such for weeks now. Getting along pretty good. But I cannot figure this out.
I am building something called a submar mat. Google it if you like. Essentially it is a network of 160 concrete cubes (12 x 12, sides beveled) which butt against one another and are used for slope stabilization, protection of subsea valves, etc... Weighs about 10,000 pounds. anyway, real world, these things are cast with a grid of nylon rope throughout which serves to connect them all to each other. These rope joints are what I need to recreate with hinges. For example, a corner block is only directly adjacent 2 others, hence, two hinge joints. Likewise, a block toward the center of the mat would have connections on all four sides.
My problems are twofold. 1) I am having trouble identifying which block is which in the hinge inspector where you select the other side of the hinge connection, and 2), I can't seem to get the second hinge to attach anyway. It may very well be that I am just consistently attaching it to the wrong block, but I think I tried 'em all.
