Admob Ad shows up with the Unity Splash Screen
Hi, i am using Admob in my project and i request and show the ad at the level start in Start() function. The problem is the ad loads at the same time with the Unity Splash Screen. How can i fix this? I don't want to show the ad at the same time with Splash Screen
Add a counter using realtimesincestartup and add a delay to the loading of the ads.
Use the timer to fire a custom function rather than putting it in Start()
Yes that will work but i wonder why Splash Screen stil shows up after my scene loaded.
Its an overlay rather than a scene.
Your scene will begin loading and the Splash overlay is thrown on top, it seems. If the scene is tiny its likely to load first.
The other option is to make a small 'catch' scene which allows you to move on after tapping some button. This manipulates the user to telling the game when the splash has finished.
Everything is running in the Start() function and i didnt use Awake(). I have a scene that detects the device language and depending on that it loads the second scene. But still my ad and gamecenter welcome banner (both are in the Start() function in scene 2) shows up with the splash screen. I dont know what to do else?
Any other ideas? On android splash screen is the old one and it only shows up for 0.5 seconds than loads the scene. But splash screen on iOs is really annoying, i have audio, animation, ad etc at the start and splash screen kinda messed them up. There are ways like meat5000 said but there has to be a better solution i think.
