Problem with shadows close up (Peter Panning)
Hi, Today I was trying out some shadow settings on a directional light, and I ran into an issue.
On the light component, I turned the Normal Bias bias value to 0, in order to avoid lines in shadows (gaps).
Then, however, when trying to set the Bias value, the scene either gets 'shadow acne' or 'peter panning' (see the first attached picture for peter panning). I could not find a reasonably middle ground, when testing it out on a model of a tree (see picture 1).
However, after increasing the scale of the tree (from 1 to 5), it resulted in the second picture, which is exactly what I need.
So my question is: Is there a way to set a value in the shadow settings to achieve the result as in picture 2, without increasing the scale?
Thanks in advance!
